Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time

A member from the Game Trailers forums has posted some possible Firmware 2.70 features. There is no real source or announcement from Sony, however if this is true then the features will probably make you drool as they are just some of the ones we have been asking Sony to give us for ages. Though the update is supposed to be released in the second quarter of 09, I'm sure everyone can be excited about this.
2.70 Features
Friends List:
- Voice Messaging is now available as an alternative to text after selecting a user on the friends list. Voice message recordings are capped at 30 seconds.
- Home Integration: Saved Playstation Home avatar photos can be selected as photo ID for Gamer Card/Friends List.
- Trophy number and Gamer Level are listed under Friend names for quick reference.
Gamer Card & Trophies:
- Gamer Card layout has been changed to more closely resemble the Playstation Store aesthetic.
- Past Trophy information can be viewed in detail by selecting "Recent Trophy History" option.
- Newly aquired trophies auto-sync in the background
- Server infrastructure for Trophies has been optimized. Resulting in faster retrieval time for Gamer Card and Trophy information.
In-Game XMB:
- Loading time for In-Game XMB has been drastically reduced, resulting in a more seemless in-game experience.
- "Theme settings" options while in-game is now available, allowing custom themes to be applied to the In-Game XMB.
- Internet Browser can now be accessed while in-game.
- Voice messaging and voice chat options can be used while in-game.
- Options that cannot be used in the XMB during game sessions are grayed out (but still selectable) to eliminate user accessibility confusion.
Misc:
- Other slight UI tweaks and enhancements.

These are not too technologically demanding at all, all of this is pretty basic stuff now for online service. Im sorry if this sounds fanboyish i don't mean it to but if the XBOX360 can do it then surely the PS3 with its superior technology can do it aswell with no problems.
And they'll be like "Oh no! I've been enjoying them for years! Now that you'll have a percentage of the basic features Live offers I might as well just kill myself! Halo ruuuuules!"
Then you and shattered will high five.
I am about 98% sure this is fake, simply due to the fact that these are things that have been wanted for quite some time, and then all of a sudden it happens . . . in one firmware update? Nope!
If they were doing something like this, believe me, they'd hype it up by mentioning something like "You'll like 2.7! We're working on introducing a lot of features you've been asking for" Just like they did with less intriguing updates in the past.
Not to mention, this is from a forum . . . . just a forum. Which is most likely just a "What do you want" list.
Besides, I'm sure the PS3 can do these things, Sony never said it couldn't...
As for Sony not promoting it, my point is that they promoted certain features/FW updates with big features LONG BEFORE, as in 6 months even, the update coming out in the past. So surely with such an update containing ALL these wanted features in one package, they would say something most likely, far in advance.
I never said I didn't want these things in one package, I merely said that it's unlikely to come in one package (personally I would love it, but that is improbable to happen). This fact and the fact that the source is from a forum member on a forum, this appears to simply be a "What would you like in 2.70 update?" that I find so many times on other forums, even a more official forum such as the PLAYSTATION forums themselves! Go ahead, check out that place and you'll either see the exact same thing, or similar posts . . . and have no validity.
I'm no tech head, but I can't see having the web browser open while in game as being possible, surely the PS3 doesn't have enough RAM to carry out such an operation.
So it is indeed possible, but you may have to quit to the main menu to do it, so there isn't a lot of memory being taken up by the game.
