Of course, GameStop seems to not know what it's talking about half the time, like many other retailers (see: StarCraft II release date) and has a love of throwing out random release dates, so with that in mind, they're saying BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams will be out this October. Sounds about accurate..

Haha, nice opinion you have there. I'll have to agree with you there, any news about it being on wii?

I <3 Bioshock an unhealthy amount.

the game didn't need another installment. they wrapped it up, and explained most of the backstories via diaries. whatever, i'll probably buy this one once it hits 20$ as well

How on earth can it be a prequel when the only trailer shows a grown up sister?

I meant the series could have a kickass prequel as opposed to Bioshock 2 being a prequel.

bioshock 2 didn't need to happen. this kind of shit is encouraging re-hashing old ideas instead of creativity with game developers. every time a game is a success, they make another one - and continue doing so until people are sick of it - and it's bad for the industry and gamers who don't like playing the same game 3 times with new subtitles. they could have used the time the spent making bioshock 2 for a totally new creative masterpiece like bioshock 1 was instead of just milking the franchise after it was clearly TOTALLY WRAPPED UP.

Well, Halo seemed to be able to rehash itself with little complaint. I don't see an issue there.

That's a unique view you have there. You're right, very few people criticise Halo for a lack of innovation outwith it's multiplayer.

It's got a hell of a fanbase, so they'll get a big amount of moneyz.

The only game where I popped it in and went to 1000/1000 with 3 playthroughs without taking the disc out.

    Geeky, but so damn awesome.

Definately an awesome game. Lets hope they pull the second one off properly and don't ruin it or make a shitty game knowing it will sell because its got Bioshock in the title.

Gamespot has made up quite a few release dates, and all of them were out of the margin by like 2 months. X.X

I never played the first one. I might rent both when Bioshock 2 comes out.

Great, I still have time to dig around and pick up the first one. Don't get me wrong, I loved what I had played so far, but for some reason put it down and never got back into it. Having a deadline before number 2 will provide some motivation... maybe.
