Resident Evil 5 will be under 10 hours long?

A rumor is currently floating around the 'net that Resident Evil 5 will be a short game. Despite the producer announcing that gamers will get 20+ hours out of RE5, gaming magazine Xbox World 360 disputes this, claiming that they have only gotten 8 hours out of the game. 80 minues of which is cutscenes!

I guess we won't know who is telling the truth until the game is actually released. Here's hoping its a lot longer than 8 hours though!

Recently, the prestigious magazine Xbox World 360 has officially announced that their testers just needed 7 hours 36 minutes and 1 second to have the main charactor Chris Redfield to the last of the itinerary in blockbuster game Resident Evil 5. More suprisingly, that amount of time also included 80 minutes of the cut-scenes.

    WHAT!?!? I hope thats just because the testers breezed through the game on very easy, without exploring, because 7 hrs is lame.

    i get bored of games far before i reach the 20 hour mark. i dont see how a 8 hour game is bad

    Thats pathetic.

    Sorry, and yes I understand theres the whole flipping co-op experience and whatnot, but Resident Evil 4, managed a lot longer.It is almost as if co-op is their excuse for a shortened game. Well no, it certainly shouldn't.

    Your giving us dated controls, repetitive AI, copy and paste enemies, and a shorted RE experience.....it will not review like Resident Evil 4 did.

      I finished RE4 in like 14 hours on first playthrough. I think I was under 10 later on.

      Anyway RE4 was made for replayability. I imagine 5 will be too, I'm not too concerned really.

    thats gotta be on Easy, and without exploring or doing anything extra. similarly, you can beat Oblivion in around 15 hours if you do nothing but the main quest.
