A month ago it was revealed that the next Resident Evil game would be on the Nintendo Wii. Rumor has it, the game could be an Umbrella Chronicles sequel or [/link]. But if Capcom's hints are anything to go by, it might even be a remake or direct port of Resident Evil: Code Veronica. I guess we'll find out within the coming days, at Capcom's Resident Evil 5 launch event.

On Thursday, March 12, Capcom will hold a launch event for Resident Evil 5 in San Francisco. And going by some strong evidence circulating the web, they'll also announce a new Resident Evil title for the Wii -- and it just may be a port or remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

If better *bleep*ING not be. I'm sick of remakes. What's more, I'm sick of all of the goddamn change in gameplay. Railshooters suck.

I agree, totally. We already have enough Railshooters to choose from, and are getting even more this year, Capcom doesn't need to flood the market with another, especially another remake.

Why remake a game that was only released last generation? Code Veronica's graphics aren't that outdated that it needs a drastic overhaul. Especially when the time and money could go to creating other RE games or remakes... RE2 and RE3 for example. (Prefferably on one disc).

Capcom remade RE 1 and 3 on the Gamecube, did they not?

Yeah they did and considering the Gamecube and Wii have the same graphical compatibilties there'd be no point.

You're right, if a game won't have good graphics, why even bother releasing it?

Well as much as I enjoyed CV, I'd be really pissed if it was either remade or re-released on the Wii. Its already been ported on 2 generations of consoles (a total of 3 consoles all together) so why do it again? RE2 needs a remake more than CV.

If it's a port, we'd (or Japan) will basically be paying 30-40 dollars on a 10 year old game.

I'd preferr a remake over a port anyday, but honestly Capcom, if it isn't so hard to ask, a ....well a new game wouldn't kill you know would it. Ever since the wii came out there's been 4 RE games NONE of which are new (with the exception of UC but that hardly counts).

Knowing Capcom though, I should EXPECT to see RE:CVX as a port not changed in the slightest, and despite the wii's graphics capabilities, they just want a quick buck.

You forgot to mention that Jill's only being controlled by some sort of implant so while initially starting bad, comes good.

    ^ spoilers btw.

If your going to ruin the game for others, at least be accurate. Refer to Hunskelper for details.

    And *bleep* off Santa.
