Fresh from the BAFTAs last night, Johnathon Ross seemingly couldn't help but spill the beans on the next game in the Fable series via Twitter, stating that he had been asked to do voicework for the game.

"Goodnight all. Must go to bed. Got asked to do voice in Fable 3 tonight. Subarashi. Oyasuminasia. Woss out."

Later asked to confirm by another Tweeter, Ross said, "Yes they are doing it. Charlie Brooker said he would do a voice for it to! Great fun!!"

Unfortunately for Ross, the industry generally isn't too pleased when an actor announces a product early. Thus it was this morning that we received, "Good morning. Today I must file DVDs, write a piece for The Times, apologize to Peter Molyneux then go Thorpe Park for SAW rollercoaster."

Asked why he had to apologize, he replied, "Because I think I revealed something that was not officially announced yet..."

Not anything special. We knew he was making a third anyways. I remember reading somewhere that Molyneux said he wants to make something ridiculous, like, five Fable games in the series.

I can just imagine, Fable IV, set in modern times. Be a wealthy businessman by participating in the stock market (which really turns out to be a press-this-button-when-it-flashes-on-the-screen minigame), be a stealthy assassin and kill targets for money (which really turns out to be a go-here-and-kill-this-guy-and-run-away minigame), or be a humble farmer (which turns out to be a run-to-this-area-and-plant-these-seeds-and-come-back-in-half-an-hour-which-is-really-five-days-in-the-game minigame). Make life-altering choices that will affect the outcome later in the game! (which turns out to be a press-A-to-go-to-University-or-press-B-to-start-working-at-McDonald's event)

Coming soon, Fable V! Do meaningless tasks for credits on a space station, run around doing FedEx quests in outer space, and beat bosses so easy you could kill them while you're intoxicated! Now with the same graphics as the last four!

Why is 5 a ridiculous number? Bearing in mind that the Metal Gear, Mario, Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy series have way more than 5 games.

Yeah, and they got really stale.
Few series' aren't stale after a few games, or even a first..

Which is why they sell millions each iteration?

I would LOL if he is voicing Fable III's main villain.

Nah, that might be Russell Brand. Or Andrew Sachs.

I really hope they take their time on this one and don't release it with +500 glitches. -_-

I remember he said that if he didn't deliver on all the things he promised in Fable 2 he would resign. Did he end up delivering? Or is he just ignoring that statement?

Well, it delivered moreso than the promises made in the first Fable. That should count for something.

Wow, subliminal messages via celebrity's don't work.

Good one Ross, Bring on the trumpets!

Both games so far have been released in a state that no game should ever be released in. I wouldn't hope for anything reliable.

I'll buy Fable 3 even if it has some glitches, the other two games are just that fun.
I agree there needs to be a bit more bug testing next time around, but they did fix the problems eventually and both games work fine now.
So this is really good news.

Good to know that they are making a Fable III...now only if they will port over Fable II to the PC so I can finally play it.

I'd say it'll come September/October. The last one came about a year later as well. Dont know why it takes so damn long..business decision I guess.
