According to an updated database entry from the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB), fighting fan favourite Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will be arriving on the Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network.

A third game in the series was more or less confirmed last year; looks like they're preparing the hype train with its prequel.

Regretably, i never had the chance to play them on the PS1, so i will probably buy MvC2 if it does get an arcade release.

MvC2 was for PS2...I think MvC1 was for PS1 though.

Either way, awesome news unless you're like me and spent quite a bit on a hardcopy of the actual game disk.

Are you talking about the Xbox arcade? Because Marvel vs Capcom 2 was on Dreamcast, then came to PS2 later.

I thought this was essentially confirmed? The achievement list popped up on Xbox360Achievements.org yesterday, so I just assumed I missed the announcement.

      You should've posted.

I think I remember playing the one on PS1 and it wasn't too bad, Being a big Marvel fan I may end up getting this even though I'm not much of a fighter fan.

*bleep*ing awesome I used to play the original in the arcade. awesome game man. Better suited to arcades rather than consoles though, that sort of a game.

Same here, I used to play the arcade version non stop with my brother. I hope this game is released and it's all that I remember it as.

Nice, I used to play this on the PS1 with my friends. Good times.

That would be cool because I have never played a MvC game.

MvC2 is for PS2.I think it's funny that a game I've heard lots of people go on about how great it is, has so many people that don't know that #2 is for PS2.

Seriously..."I used to play this for PS1". Actually, you didn't.

*sigh* I thought it would be obvious I was referring to the first game. Guess I should really spell things out from now on.

Just let him bask in all his glory. There's always going to be that one that throws out the little correction. Also Moonrise, click the correct name to respond to, everyone doesn't understand your comment otherwise...

I did click the right name to respond to. You must be an idiot or something not to understand that.

I love how it's "I thought it would be obvious I was referring to the first game" when the article is specifically about the second game.

^Jesus, MvC2 isn't for the PS1. The minute I mentioned PS1 you should have realized I was refering to MvC1.

But whatever, if you feel you've somehow become cooler by pointing out some stupid thing, sure.

You must be a moron then Fatal Error, you weren't even the one that was responding, unless you have two GG accounts. Clearly Moonrise responded to z fighter and yet the response was under Gamesta100's comment, that would obviously be the wrong one.

"..you should have realized I was referring to MvC1."

That's like saying 1+1=5, oh but you should have known what I meant. How can you get mad at someone for you being wrong?

Dammit, if only I had the patience and foresight to not pay 80 bucks for my copy. Ah well, I'll have to buy it again.
