Buying inFamous Unlocks Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta?

Sony had planned a big announcement on April 27th, but it looks like the info has already leaked. After looking at the back boxart for inFamous greets you with the words "Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta Voucher". I guess with this, it also confirms Uncharted 2 will have multi player.

The switch on Sony's "electrifying announcement" may have just been flipped, as a Best Buy pre-order box for inFamous reveals the existence of a multiplayer beta test for Uncharted 2.

Yesterday Sony began teasing "an electrifying announcement" to take place on April 27th regarding both Sucker Punch's inFamous and Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Today a reader sent us this photo of a batch of newly opened Best Buy pre-order placeholder boxes for inFamous, which indicate that not only do pre-orders score players early access to the inFamous demo,

    Just like Crackdown offering the Halo 3 multiplayer BETA, so people buy the game just for the freakin' beta.

    They're better be another way to get the beta other than this, some people (like me) don't have any intrest in inFamous. Well, I guess I could just pre-order with 5 dollars, get my code (hopefully easier then Resistance 2's beta to get >_>) then withdraw ma moneys. If it's available right away, anyhow.

      You only get the code for buying, Pre ordering just lets you DL the infamous demo earlier.

        I know Sony needs the money, but this is stupid. People who dont even want one game have to pay for another game to get the beta for game they actually want? Why don't you just make it a pre-order bonus for Uncharted 2 instead? Nobody likes to throw away their money.

    Yes, but if you don't want to spend money on a game you don't want for a beta you want, then just don't buy it. Besides, I doubt InFamous will suck.

    I was getting the game [inFamous] anyway. I just hope Uncharted doesn't suffer as the game it was, because of multiplayer.

    Well, I really couldn't care less. I have very minimal interest in Uncharted 2, much less a multiplayer demo for the game.

    I like inFAMOUS though and am planning on getting it regardless.

    In my oppinion, anyone going to buy inFAMOUS just for a beta, is wasting their money and their loss, they can't complain one bit because they're the ones who wasted the money. Now, if you were going to get inFAMOUS, or were on the fence and decided to get it after this news of getting the beta also, then why complain? You're getting a game you figured you'd like, plus getting a beta you wanted!

    But again, those who buy inFAMOUS just for the beta, have no right whatsoever to complain. If you wanted the beta and don't want inFAMOUS, well . . . not everyone gets into every beta you know...

      Very sensible. If you don't like Infamous no one is forcing you to buy the game, if you were on the fence or were already planning to you just got lucky.
