The Witcher was a very popular game on the PC that was praised by many critics. So the dev's then decided to bring it to the consoles. Well rumors are spreading that the polish developer have cancelled the console version. They currently haven't responded.
According to a translation on IncGamers, rumours regarding the game’s possible cancellation originate from Polish site Polygamia, which claims to have been informed by sources that the title won’t see the light of day.
Edge approached CD Projekt Red’s public relations and marketing VP for North America and the UK, who told us that he was unable to “comment on rumours,” adding that “any future plans for the project will be announced via official channels.”
The Witcher franchise, based on the literary works of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, debuted on PC in 2007, and hit the one million worldwide sales mark in October 2008. Later that year CD Projekt Red said the series would make its console debut in autumn 2009.
