Two Classic Characters Return For Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Reunion

Take this with the most precious grain of salt: a user on the NeoGAF forums not only confirms the Pokemon Gold/Silver remakes and additional features, but also confirms once more on DSi Virtual Console of Game Boy games.
Also, another Pokemon Battle Revolution-style game is expected to be announced at E3.
NOT ONLY THAT, but he even drops word of an idea tossed around right now at Nintendo: re-releasing Pokemon Red and Blue on the DSi VC AND having them connect to Pokemon Stadium on the Wii VC. All this planned for post-E3.
Once more, all of this a huge rumor. (At this rate, though, those games are pretty much confirmed.)

I can confirm to you all that this announcement is indeed a Gold and Silver remake as I JUST heard news of it from my buddy in Treehouse who has known for a while and while I knew (and actually told through PM a few people on GAF) I feel as though now is as good of a time as any to let everyone know.
Release is Late 2009 Japan release, Spring 2010 America.
Also, expect an announcement soon after E3 of a new Wii based Pokemon game compatible with these new games as well as Platinum.

...I recently heard from one of my buddies who works at Treehouse that the idea of Blue/Red on DSiVC and connecting with Stadium on VC has been talked about a lot at Nintendo and that there are rumblings they will be releasing in July after the official US announcement of the DSiVC at E3 and Red/Blue are launch titles.

...I don't know much about the new mechanics being implemented, I do know that there has been major talk of revisions to the breeding system as well as an even more fleshed-out "visual change" system to certain Pokemon.

On a separate note, they could do stadium on the ds man, have stadium on a ds cartridge; the DS is more than capable of that. And then pop the GBA games in the bottom to use em with stadium. Or the internal memory on the DSI. What he's suggesting there just takes the piss, buy the games again, but not only that, but buy new systems for em too.
Plus, I need me Silver remake! Lugia kicks ho-oh's ass
I might actually have to be taking back what I said about the DSi earlier; this might turn out to be pretty good.
I' will also cry if there is not a Gold/Silveer remake.
