This is no surprise, seeing how popular the franchise is, why not expand it to the film industry. And that is the rumor floating around. How do you think a Call of Duty movie would play out? Will it turn to another crap game to movie adaptation, a generic action movie or the next Saving Private Ryan?

That’s right. According to The Hollwood Reporter, it seems that Activision have set up deals for “Call of Duty: The Movie”, the movie for the very popular video game.

“[The Call of Duty movie is] being talked about for the big screen,” said one person with knowledge of the deal.

However, in an interview prior to Thursday’s quarterly earnings conference call, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick wouldn’t comment on the status of Call of Duty becoming a film.

If they do Modern Warfare, that would be awesome.

It would, but I strangely want to see a WW2 movie. Perhaps CoD:WaW style.

YAY, a movie about going to war against constantly respawning Nazis that throw endless amounts of grenades with ridiculous accuracy.

I know, it'll be, dare I say it, epic! Toss in airstrikes and maybe flamethrowers, and we have a winner.

I knew it would eventually happen, the CoD franchise would make for a good movie. Hopefully it is based off of Modern Warfare and not WW2 though.

It'll either be a repeat failure along the lines of the Doom movie or it will be some shitty action flick with too much money in the budget and Michael Bay as a director.
