Today has been a good day for E3 leaks and it looks like Bungie just couldn't help themselves. It appears that Microsoft are going to announce Halo: Reach during their conference on the 1st of June.

Microsoft is going to announce a new Halo game.
The only information that we have so far is that it will be a prequel.

This rumor lost all its credibility when the source linked to another Internet forum whose first post was only made by a random member who did not include any form of additional source or link to prove said rumor.

If they did make a game about Reach, not much would happen. If it was just about the Fall of Reach, all the Spartans did was blow up some space station. And then the planet was destroyed.

I'm still hoping for a Halo game where we get to command ships, like Battlestations but with the UNSC and Covenant. You get all the different classes and you can launch boarding parties and send out Longsword fighters. You control your ship and you get to fire Archer missiles, MAC cannons and nuclear warheads at the covenant ships. And there's a Covenant campaign too. It'll never happen but, it'd be pretty sweet.

It'd never happen because FYI the covenant rule space combat, which is why space scenarios were never included in Halo Wars. The covenant are unbeatable in space.

      Humans/Spock say;

      SPACE.THE FINAL FRONTIER.

My ass, the UNSC are vastly inferior.

Not unbeatable, just nearly completely unbeatable in space. Keep in mind that the UNSC can win when they outnumber the Covenant around about 3:1. That or they have awesome tacticians like Keyes. The only problem is that victories always came at massive losses and there was simply no way the UNSC could replace all the ships and people lost with each encounter.

Apart from Mario and FF, Halo is becoming one of the most milked series ever...

I knew someone would jump in and say that. It's Halo 1-3 and Halo Wars. How many Metal Gear games have there been? The Metal Gear Solid series alone is 4, while there have been 3 PSP games, 1 PSP game in the works, an iPhone game in the works, plenty of older games from past generations and one about to be announced.

Halo has four games since 2001. Four. That's about one per two years. Relax. People like the series and talk about it. It's heavily adverstized. That doesn't mean it has a new game every week like Mario or Roman Numerals longer than people's names where it can even be compared to those milkings.

The blind hating of Halo is 1000x more annoying than the fanboys (of whom I don't even see unless I specifically look for them in gamefaqs or something).

Well there have been metal gear figurines and a metal gear graphic novel as well. and the substance versions of games they release later on like in MGS 2.

Yeah, being honest, even though I'm an enormous MGS fanboy, I have to admit that the franchise is very milked.

Though, I do think that, even though the series has been milked, it at least hasn't diminished in quality. I mean, it really hasn't gotten to the point that they have just started pumping out mediocre/below average MGS stuff in order to make money. At least, I don't think that.

Well, except perhaps the substance games, and the iPhone game.....yeah, those were for money. Suckers like me bought both the original games, AND the substance games. I have no interest in the iPhone Game though.

I actually don't think Halo has really done that either(I'm referring to my second paragraph). Even though I'm not an enormous Halo fan, everything I've seen Halo-related seems to be of pretty above average quality. But I've only really played the games, and seen the action figures. I don't really know about the other stuff.

One thing I love about NeogAf, insane leakages.

    But this can't be real:/

I call major BS. The source is some guys post on neogaf and why would bungie purposely update their website to leak the game pre-e3.

If this is a representation of what Microsoft is going to constantly provide with their console then I for one wont be continuing with the Xbox.

Constant Halo is not really pushing the boundries..and I mean that in a respectable way. Microsoft have the talent and resources to provide us with more. That being said, a return to form with a title liken to the original Halo would be fantastic. Again, to contradict myself, i think that they could continue to milk it - The Calcium keeps their company strong.
