Sony has recently trademarked the name 'Playstation Cloud'. As for what it exactly is, no one is for sure. But a new article that was written in PSW might shed some light on this new service.

A small paragraph of information on PS 'Cloud' in July 09 issue of PSW page 73! Sorry about the crappy quality, the article reads: You've always been able to create and share levels in PSN puzzler Echochrome, but an update will let you do this via 'Cloud'. This system removes the need for Sony to check levels before being uploaded - an early problem for LittleBigPlanet. The new update will also allow for Playstation Eye support. You will be able to film yourself solving the game's complex puzzles and then upload your performance to Youtube. Trash Panic also enables you to upload footage. Does this mean we can expect to see user-created content via Playstation Cloud in future games?

Going from the name, I'd say it's a new console built specifically for Final Fantasy VII remakes, movies, spin-offs, and other FF7-related media...

    I wouldn't be surprised...

Actually, this rumour was started by a member of gametrailers- he said that cloud would be a centre for managing your friends, saving your stats, and accessing your game saves from any PS3. He also posted a screenshot:

Sony later debunked the rumours. I tried to post it on gamegrep yesterday, but it wouldn't accept the article.
