Two Classic Characters Return For Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Reunion

You might remember the recent teaser site that Capcom has posted up. It's been presumed that the site is there to promote a new Sengoku Basara (Devil Kings) game. However, with some recent changes to the site, speculation has now shifted to the possibility of it being related to a new Onimusha game.
While everyone was paying attention to Square Enix's slowly morphing teaser website, Capcom's own teaser site was undergoing some changes of its own.
To recap, the Capcom site originally displayed the year "1560." The site was linked to off the Sengoku Basara (aka Devil Kings) official site, so we assumed we'd be getting a new Sengoku Basara game set in that year. The franchise is quite popular in Japan, and recently saw a PSP entry.
And then came a Monday update to the site, with the 1560 crossed out, replaced by a 1573. Tuesday came along, and the 1573 was crossed out, replaced with a 1582.
Some Japanese gaming blogs clued us into the pattern here. Those years correspond closely to the time frames for Onimusha, Onimusha 2, and Onimusha 3. Could Capcom be teasing a new entry in the series that we thought would go to the grave with the PS2?
Let's see if tomorrow's update to the site lists a 1596 (or around that time), corresponding to Onimusha Dawn of Dreams.

...probably not.
First game was set in 1560 second game was set in 1573 and the third game was set in 1582 now it looks like the fourth game will be set in the year 1600.
Because the fourth Onimusha game was not entitled "Onimusha 4" but just Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, so they could easily bring in a fourth one whilst bringing Samanosuke back as the main character.
Knowing Capcom and how much they cherish multiplatform games nowadays, this'll be released on the PS3/360/PC.
Ah well, a new crappy game to a crappy dynasty warriors copy.
Battle of Sekigahara was in 1600.
