Kotaku recently posted this article about how a Chinese company is alleged to have signed a contract with Sony to begin producing the PS3 Slim, possibly due out as early as next month.

According to Chinese site UDN, Sony have signed production contracts with two companies to begin manufacture of the rumoured PS3 "Slim", with a delivery date of...oh, next month!

Now, with a PS3 price cut heavily expected around August, and with stocks of the existing 80GB PS3 supposedly dwindling, a July delivery date for the "new" PS3 makes sense. Ship it out in July, have it ready to sell in stores for August.

Arg! Okay . . . no matter how real this may be, I seriously am growing to hate "PS3 Slim" news! The rumours and all that have made me hate them. That . . . and several other types of articles.

sorry, lol. This one in particular seemed to have some credence, and I figured it was newsworthy. Better than most of my submissions anyways which are just links to articles from my blog (not that they aren't good mind you =P)

No that wasn't toward you really, but just websites that talk about it and write the articles themselves No problem on your part

I like all the PS3 Slim/price cut news and rumors.
More and more evidence keeps piling up that PS3 slim is coming soon, and I love it.

HisServant if you hate PS3 slim and price cut articles, you do know that you don't have to read and comment on each one of them right?

Yes, I know I don't have to read and comment on them. But even seeing the titles and just plain knowing that yet another article exists on another website is what gets me. Not reading them. Just knowing period. And once you see the title, you cannot UNsee the title and erase the knowledge

Don't you think that if such a thing where to happen Sony would have said something at E3?
