Despite being unannounced by Activision so far, the odds of everybody's favorite mutant cajun appearing seem to be extremely favorable. Judging by the UK box art, Gambit's mug has graced the cover of the game making it pretty absurd for him to be left out, unless they change the box art. Since there hasn't been any official confirmation yet, keep this filed as a rumor for now.

New box art for Marvel Ultimate Alliance two seems to indicate that a certain ragin' cajun might be making an appearance in the upcoming sequel.

Every character gracing the latest Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 box art, now popping up at retailers around the internet, has been announced as a playable character in the game, except for one Remy Lebeau, otherwise known as the card-slinging, staff-wielding mutant, Gambit. Gambit appears in both the UK box art posted at ToTheGame, as well as promotion art appearing on U.S. retailer GameStop's website.

Considering Remy's status as a fan-favorite and his recent live-action appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, jumping to the conclusion that we have a new playable character on our hands is easy, but we won't jump. He's on the art, but until Activision responds to our inquiries or outs him officially, that's the only place he's appearing.

The box art is friggin SWEEETT, definitely a day of release purchase for me. I hope Gambit is in it, caus no doubt he'll be badass in the game itself.

it is cool but id rather have Cap in the center. he's so much cooler than Spidey.

Well Spidey's the most popular, so obviously it's gotta be him xD That said, if they did put Cap in the center it would probably alienate a number of non-American people or something xD

I was kind of surprised that they never put Gambit in the original. He's definitely one of the more popular X-men. Heck, he even made the cut for MvC2. Nevertheless, I'm glad they've rectified their mistake. I'm gonna enjoy tearing ass with Deadpool and Gambit side by side.

i wonder what Gambit and Deadpool's team up move would be...Gambit charges Dead's katanas with kinetic energy and enemies go flying when they are hit?

Deadpool passes Gambit a clip, he charges each bullet up, then 'pool take it back and rains carnage on everything on-screen whilst Gambit charges up his staff and ends with a massive sweep attack

Gambit is the sex. There wouldn't be a game without him.

I love the fact that Gambit is in but I can't help but think they only put him on the boxart because he was in Wolverine (horrid version or not)

I mean, seven of those eight characters have been in movies within the past year or two :\

I've never understood what's so great about Gambit. What does everyone else see that I don't?

It's mostly the not giving a *bleep* aspect that people find so endearing, even though he does secretly care. He's just a cool characters, it's hard to explain. I can understand not liking him as much as everyone else, but surely understanding why people like him that much isn't hard. Not to be a dick, apologies if that offends you, but he's just one of those characters who is just cool, because he is xD

Nah it don't offend me.I don't know much of Gambit which is why I don't understand why people blike him so much I guess.

Most of my comic reading has been Spider-Man so I haven't gotten to know that much of characters outside of Spider-Man ones.

If I knew more of the psycholgy of the character maybe I would enjoy him more.

          A dissection of Gambit

Cards as weapons + 5 points

Cool battle staff + 10 points

Awesome hair and clothes + 15 points

Badass and carefree attitude + 500 points!

Personally I think that's all that needs to be said.

The fact he can *bleep* Rogue whilst any other person would have their penis shrivel to a raisin and die + 9000

Why have Captain and Stark been pushed away to a corner? I was hoping that the two of them would form the central piece.

To gather more sales. Spidey is practically Marvel's mascot, people would buy anything with him front and center. It's strue, Tony and Steve are the central figures in the story, one pro-reg, one anti-reg, but meh, for the sake of sales, they've been pushed aside by that web-head.

I dunno. I would've put Wolvie in the spotlight. But they certainly seem to have their bases covered.

Spidey is more famous\popular but Wolvie is a close second.
