While it's not official, a Twitter message from Infinity Ward's Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling hints that Modern Warfare 2 might be recieving its own controller. Prestige-edition buyers, be sure you have the extra cash for this.

Think Activision was only putting out peripherals for their rhythm games? Think again. Infinity Ward's upcoming first-person shooter, Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC), may also get its own controller. If you're thinking of getting the Prestige Edition you might want to make sure you have some extra money for this as well.

Activision are really trying to milk the hell out of MW2...that will likely cause it to lose credability. -_-

Are you implying Activision had credability to start with?

Any game they release from now on will have an added peripheral. Activision aren't happy these days if their games can't sell bundled with $100 worth of extra shit to play the game with.

There will be more, trust me. Activision knows how to milk a franchise completely dry; more so than EA.

Expect MW2 headsets, dozens of pre-order bonuses and more downloadable content then you can shake a stick at.

I hope it just means something along the lines of a new skinned regular controller, like they had with Halo and all kinds of other things.
