The latest issue of Famitsu lists "Super Mario Collection (known as Super Mario All-Stars internationally)" as a recently registered trademark. Don't get your hopes up just yet though folks, not all trademarks materialize as games.

OH MY *bleep*ING GOD YES. I hope this happens. This game holds so many memories for me since it was my first video game ever (came bundled with my SNES). Nintendo, I will literally throw my money at your feet if you re-release this.

I remember the good old days from playing this game. If I recall this also came with the Japanese version of Mario Bros. 2? Or at least it's demo.

Please Nintendo, please make this happen. There's so much more to add now!

Yeah, it was called "Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels" in the United States IIRC.

I don't know why you guys are so excited though, it's a remake of a game that was a remake of 5 games lol. They've all been released on the Wii and the GBA, except Lost Levels. Unless they're actually updating the graphics, which would just be weird...

It would be worth it if they were adding more games such as the Super Mario Land series into the mix.

it was a remake of 4 games, plus World, which was not a remake but just thrown in there.

If you consider the new sprites for Luigi, then it is an update. Not a remake, but an update.

If they remake it, I want them to add Yoshi as a playable character SM64 style

My guess is that they're just gonna re-release Super Mario All Stars on the VC. But no complaints from me if they do that!

but they've already released all of those games like 93 times on every console.

Super Mario All-Stars was my first videogame.

This'll probably end up as a VC game that sells for 1500-2000 points (which is worth it, if you consider that seperately the sum would be 2100, 2900 if you add Super Mario World)

Although, it could be a bundle of 64, Sunshine, Wario World and DK64 with a nice new coat of paint.

I had a lot of fun with this title. I really hope that they do remake and re-release it. Perhaps make the environments 3D and leave the 2D sprites.

I wouldn't mind it it was done in the hand drawn style of Wario Land: The Shake Dimention. I wonder how well that would work on DS.
