As you may have noticed, the 360 Pro model is slowly being fazed out. Even the new Arcade shipments only show Arcade and Elite models for comparison sake. So, what will Microsoft do with the wide gap left behind? Fill it in. Starting at the end of this month, it seems the Elite model will be selling for a cool $299. Not bad, not bad at all.

Looks like we have an execution date for the Xbox 360 Pro model, with this shot from a Meijer catalogue due on August 30 indicating the 360 Elite is in line for a Pro-sized price cut.
