It looks like Sony tried to hide the development of a 250GB PS3 Slim. If you’ll take a look at this FCC document, you’ll notice that the Company Name is labeled as “Sand Dollar Enterprise,” yet that address turns out to be none other than Sony Computer Entertainment America’s address. The device in question here is the 250 GB PS3 Slim. It seems like a 250GB PS3 Slim would be a great announcement at Gamescom, but Sony must have other plans for it.

If it's true . . . Honestly I hope they manage to keep it a secret! At least as much a secret as possible since sites apparently already know.

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Sony merely for the constant leak of info!

Sony can't keep secrets worth jack. Microsoft managed to keep most of its secret projects hidden until E3. Sony on the other hand seemed to let the cat out of the bag at least a week prior.

lol! that guy is always grumpy on here.

but yeah, Sony likes to let the cat out of the bag. maybe they do it on purpose to try to drum up some media attention? they cant be that oblivious.

i think a lot of people just care a lot about potential PS3 news. especially if it involves the slim, tons of people wanted the slim and a ps3 price drop, so they could finally buy one.

it also doesn't help that there is someone who works in sony, that releases all this info on N4G forums

It's only going to be worth the model if they manage to install the chip for Backwards Compatibility. I see no point in having a 250 GB model when you can easily buy a HDD around $65 that has 320 GBs and install it on the PS3 with ease.

ZL you are the man. Totally correct. I have a 500gb HDD in my ps3. And no one cares about the 350gb slim if it's not backward compatible.

very true. In fact, maybe that is why Sony didn't announce the 250GB hardrive at Gamescom, maybe they are going to install BC in it, but its not ready yet.

this new 250GB may be at a higher price point, so im sure sony didn't want to confuse people, and just say $299 for everything across the board.
