Could this be Final Fantasy XIII's Box Art?

A Final Fantasy XIII box-art featuring Lightning riding Odin's horse was spotted at the Tokyo Game Show today, leaving many sites speculating whether or not this is the official box art.
It might just be a stand-in until the actual box-art is made, or it might be the real-deal. But for the moment I'll stick this in the "Rumor" category.

Everyone's seen that already thanks to the promotional photos - but next to it in its TGS display is a Final Fantasy XIII box with what could be the box art.

It's different to usual Final Fantasy boxes in Japan, abandoning the simplistic logo on a white background instead going for Lightning riding Odin's horse.

    It looks so incredibly stupid that I want to hit someone.

    It either needs more images or none at all. The way it is, it just looks so half-arsed and novice. If I unpack that in December, I'm going to print off my own cover.

      As far as I know lots of FF games have a generic one image that has to do with the game, FF3 on DS doesn't even have an image

    That can't be it. Add some background and it would look passable but they aren't stupid enough to have it be just that.

    Too much white in my opinion (not racist puns intended haha), and I can't imagine that's the final box art.

    It's most likely the stand-in until the real box art is made. It seems to match the surrounding white PS3, white controller and white table though ha.

      Square Enix boxarts for Final Fantasy in Japan are usually very simplistic. Check up on FFX, FFXII, FFIII DS, and Dissidia to name a few.

        Yeah, Japan's box-art usually has the logo, a random image, and a white background.
        Then they spice it up a bit for America.

    I wouldn't be surprised if it were similar when released.

    FF games have images in the boxart? All my ones are just "Final Fantasy" with whatever logo behind it (i.e meteor) and a white background.
