Two Classic Characters Return For Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Reunion

It appears as though Sony may have let the cat out of the bag with this one. Sure it was likely to be coming all along, but should it not have been Insomniac's choice to announce the 3rd title in the Resistance series?
Perhaps it's just a massive mistake, but then again, a little to late to be advertising a game that's a year old?
Picture the scene, you're in Shreveport, Lousiana and you see the pictured billboard. You're a little surprised to see an ad for Resistance 2, considering the game was released last year, but then you look again. Wait a second, Resistance ... 3?

But its really a no brainer that R3 would be out next year, given Insomniac's past record of releasing a game every year. But good to see something about the game is beginning to surface.
And maybe this time they will use more MAJOR locations. I mean, Orick? Cocodrie, Louisiana? Yeah, New York HAS to be next.
IG have sort of split up their Resistance community by removing the gritty hopeless theme of R:FoM and replacing it with the newer brighter one. Some people like the new one, others hate it to hell. I personally hate the *bleep* out of it.
The only major announcement you've managed to keep secret has been the Final Fantasy 14 trailer at E3.
They better not go back to that bright Resistance 2 shit in any case.
Edit: There's also something in the I now?
the 'I' looks like big ben.
Or the Empire State building...
I do wonder why they have the SOL in there though. I wouldn't expect them to visit America again in the third (and probably final) installment. Russia, where they started would be a good guess. But I'm too confused about the ending of R2 and what they were looking at. If I knew that, then we might have a better guess.
