Earlier this year, Activision leaked their plans for making a new James Bond game, and there was no word on the project after that- until now. The CV of Craig Peck, animator at Eurocom, says:

"Eurocom Entertainment Software, Derby, United Kingdom: July 09 – Sept 09 Animator – GoldenEye 2010 (Wii) - Animator on Activision’s James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii."

As Activision also announced the James Bond game for the other 2 consoles, could we be seeing a new GoldenEye soon?

The N64 game GoldenEye 007, developed by Rare in 1997, is regarded as a classic, after being received incredibly well by critics. The 2006 game GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, developed by EA, was not so well received, to say the least.

Pecks CV (resume) writes:

"Eurocom Entertainment Software, Derby, United Kingdom: July 09 – Sept 09 Animator – GoldenEye 2010 (Wii) - Animator on Activision’s James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii."

Well, there's very little chance that he could be lying on his own CV. It's also interesting to note that his work on the title ended in September of this year.

Bizarre is confirmed to be developing the next Bond game, with Treyarch taking a break from the franchise. Though this is the case, it's still very possible that Activision has called on Eurocom to work on the Wii game, as they did with Quantum of Solace.

Moreover, this means that it's very likely that the same GoldenEye game will be in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at Bizarre

Something tells me they'll just try to scavenge on the success of the first one. The first one was a one-time hit, to be honest, and without the virtuosos of console FPS themselves - Rare - behind it, I don't think it will be a success.

I believe MS and Ninty were going to get Rare to make another one. But they all got pissy and argued and deleted each others numbers from their mobiles.

Let's hope this won't be a repeat of EA by not 1) pushing out something so horribly bad and 2) pretending the same name is just a coincidence by half-assing a laughable story around it.

Too late. Put anything of interest like this on the net for any amount of time and someone will have noticed it and start spreading it around the net.

Thing is, the only way it could come close to being as good as the N64 Goldeneye would be if Rare were behind it and if they were it'd be exclusive to 360 considering MS kinda own Rare >_>

Given that the original is still awesome this many years on you would hope they'd steer clear of a remake. Some games are classics and remake treatment would detract from the greatness of the original.

I would much rather just have the virtual console game for Wii.

Unfortunately Goldeneye won't happen on either Wii or 360 because Microsoft and Nintendo can't reach an agreement.

Aw man seriously? That's lame. I was wondering why it hasn't been announced after all this time.

I don't care how bad the remake ends up being, if the game has the actors from the movie doing the voice overs, I'll be in heaven.
