This is the way all developer's should handle criticism over their content. Though an "Alternate Reality" this short, sweet, and to the point faux article would be welcome if only it were true. [Satirical]

[Satire] After recently leaked footage of an in game sequence in which you can actively kill civilians as a Russian terrorist surface, Activision and Infinity Ward have come under a firestorm of criticism.

Hahaha sweet. People make a big deal out of nothing. In GTA IV you can kill civilians if you want to or not. I remember doing a mission where I had to go into this huge hotel building and I raided the place. Then, I found an innocent chef. He was like "Please, don't kill me. I'm just a chef." I let him live, but then I noticed he wouldn't shut the *bleep* up, so I went back and killed the bastard. =D

As much as I don't like Activision, that is a great response.

If only Activision was cool enough to actually say that...

Well, that's not actually Activision's full statement, but eh, these random blog sites need to get hits somehow.

Unrelated, but it rather irks me when these indie sites quote or take information from another website but don't bother providing any actual links to the original sources. Instead they vaguely reference them in text. Sleazy. I say indie because as far as I've seen, better-known websites always include a source link somewhere.

Yes, this isn't a true article, it's SATIRE!

But really, is that really that good of an answer??

I'd say over half of the players who would play the game and play through that scene, wouldn't think twice about it or get choked up or get that lump in their throat. They wouldn't think about it at all really. So uh . . . yeah though this is satire, even if it were true that's one lame answer.

But it's not about the players. It's about the critics. You know, the critics... those idiotic people who rave on about "OH SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" and "It's a murder simulator!" etc. That's what makes the answer awesome.

"It is rated M for Mature." In other words, it's saying shutup critics, kids aren't meant to play it nor are mentally unstable idiots so read the damn rating! Even as satire, it's a great simple answer.
