Uncharted 3 In Early Stages Of Development?

In a recent interview with Official PlayStation Magazine (December 2009, UK version), Naughty Dog's Justin Richmond hinted that they are currently in the early stages of developing Uncharted 3.

The guys over at OPM have asked Uncharted 2 Multiplayer designer Justin Richmond 'How do you top Uncharted 2?'. The answer, well it seems to all-but confirm that early work has begun on the sequel;

"Haha! More of it." he said "The guys back at the office are already starting to look at optimising the engine, getting more stuff on screen - all the stuff that we've done in this project that we could do better with"

    Elena tells Drake she is pregnant. Next day (or for added drama, that night while they're sleeping lovingly together), Elena is kidnapped. Drake saves Elena. Happy family time.

    Unless they're not going to be that predictable.

    I was hoping for a racing game. Perhaps Unkarted. But this will do just fine, hopefully it'll be out 2011.

      That will come after Uncharted 3. They make a trilogy then the racing game.

    Thank God. I hope it's much longer than the last two. That's awesome that they're really working on the series, though.

    Ya obviously it's in development! Any second game in a series that makes a lot of money == a 3rd game is in development .

    And the good thing is that none of the games end in cliffhangers. Which is a good lesson to be learned to just about EVERY other series out there. Stop making such half assed endings already. I'm not playing hours upon hours of a game to be "rewarded" a 2 minute ending and a "To be continued".

    That and, work on the overheating/freezing issues and it would be the best game ever made, thanks.
