Popping up on the Germany's USK rating system is a pretty interesting one for today: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. However, the system listed is not for the DS, but rather the Wii, so we could see a console version of Capcom's courtroom adventure title.

Such an idea is not out of the question, as the series was ported to the PC in Japan last year.

Hopefully yelling Objection! at a TV near you soon.

In today's gift from the German USK rating system it has revealed that the Phoenix Wright might be on its way to WiiWare.

If you're out of the loop, Phoenix Wright is a fantastic point and click adventure game that has previously been on the GBA and Nintendo DS. The German USK rating system now suggests that the original game is also coming to the Wii.

Last year in Japan the Phoenix Wright series was ported to the PC, so the assets in higher resolution are available. When a game appears on a rating system without a prior announcement it's usually a digital release, but this could still be some crazy retail release. The way the rating is written suggests it will also be the full game, and not in episodic chunks.

If this is WiiWare it'll be Capcom's first foray since Mega Man 9. We expect a complete announcement soon.

I hope not, because PW in all it's awesomeness should not be destroyed by the Wii's crappy ass gimmick.

I don't see how it could be done wrong. PW is basically a point and click adventure... I mean, you can't really ruin that with a wii-remote. If anything, I'd like the gimmick of doing the "OBJECTION!" pose with it.

I think I'd prefer for the games to say on the DS, but I'm curious as to what a fully blown console version would be like.

Hm, would this be a port or an all-new adventure? Depends on how much is put into the Wii version, but I too prefer it on the DS.

This may not be half bad if it is released. I was discussing it with another member a while back.

They've repeatedly said there were no plans for a game on the Wii, so I think this will be just a port. I think the games are best suited in their current form on the DS, though.
