Facebook, Gamercard Colors Coming to PS3 in Next FW Update?

These screenshots, leaked to scrawlfx by a tipster, show facebook integration, the option to chose different colors for your gamercard, and the ability to browse through stored pictures more conveniently. Could these features be released in the next major firmware update?

Facebook integration, the ability to change your gamercard colors and more are coming to PlayStation 3, if these images from an anonymous tipster are to be believed.

The leaked images show the ability to manage your Facebook in your PlayStation Network account settings, changing the color of your PlayStation Network gamercard and a new, more sufficient way of looking through your photos.

Consider this a rumor right now, but the shots look pretty damn legit.

    I couldn't care less about facebook either, but the gamercard color change is a plus.

    Something tells me it's fake too. I don't care about facebook, I want something like Twitter except for the PSN where you can update some sort of status on your profile for your friends to see, through your cell phone. That way you can let them know if you're not going to make a game, or going to be late, or something like that, when you're away from the PS3.

    The colored card, that's kinda nice.

    Okay . . . so it's real. Wow . . .

    The only one I'm remotely interested in is the different colors, tbh. Also, I wonder if twitter will jump ship and come to the PS3, too.

    Could a gg moderator edit the article to reflect the update?

    I wouldn't call this real just yet. Just did a quick searh for this around the official PS forums, finding only a link to that article, same on the PS3News site...

      Ok, after a thorough search through both the US and UK PlayStation sites, I call this fake, until proven otherwise. Didn't find anything like what the article describes on either. Not on the sites themselves, not on the forums, apart from a link to this same article and not on the blogs.

    It seems... unnecessary.... very unnecessary. I mean, The PS3 has a browser, wouldn't it be more practical just to make it to where you can put bookmarks as shortcuts on the xmb?

    I'm not too big into having Facebook on the PS3 but I'm sure a lot of others are. I do like the thought of customizing the gamercard a little.
