This story covers a couple different rumors surrounding Metal Gear Solid: Rising and what the percentage of plausibility is on each one; from the gameplay style to character plot points.

There was a lot of excitement surrounding the announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Rising at this year’s E3. With practically no concrete details about the game coming from the announcement—besides the fact that it will be the first Metal Gear game on the Xbox 360—message boards and blogs started blowing up with ideas surrounding what this game is all about. To report on all these speculations I searched high and low, digging though console war disputes and half-baked theories to bring you, fine reader, the skinny on what could be happening with Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

    I wasn't really excited over the game. And TBH, I really don't care too much about it. I'm a huge Metal Gear fan, but with the Big Boss/Solid Snake storyline coming full-cricle and ultimately concluding, I really don't see any further incarnations in the series, other than filling in the enormous gap between Portable Ops and MG1, to be really all that interesting.
