Super Street Fighter IV, We have room for 4 more characters!

The article explains that the Japanese magazine, Famitsu, released a photo of the character screen which revealed 4 character slots left vacant. Leading us to believe more characters may be in the works.

The Japanese magazine Famitsu recently streamed some gameplay from Super Street Fighter IV and the character select screen was shown. No new characters were shown, but it does show four remaining spots for unannounced fighters. I have added the character names in white to help you guys out.


This would put the total number of new characters in SSFIV at 10, which is 2 over the "around 8" estimate given by producer Yoshinori Ono at Tokyo Game Show.

    10 bucks says Rolento's in the space next to Guy and Sakura.

    I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that the other three spots could possibly be filled by Charlie, Birdie, and Sodom. Which would therefore complete the entire cast of Alpha 2 in the game.

      Charlie? Can he and Blanka co-exist? Because I think they have only been in one game together. xD

      Looking at a SF poster I hav enow, the characters not listed at the moment is Rolento, Charlie, Birdie, Sodom, Karin, Juli and Juni, and Big Bertha or whatever ha name is.

        Is the Charlie/Blanka relationship canon? At any rate, I'd forgotten that he's supposedly dead after Alpha 3. But if he isn't, then adding him would certainly help explain what happened.

        I was thinking that Alex from SFIII might make an appearance either in SSFIV or the next iteration given his recent appearance in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

          No. The Charlie/Blanka relationship is far from canon.
          Blanka is actually someone called Jimmy but in the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme movie they changed it from Jimmy to Charlie for no real reason other than to piss people off and ruin peoples perspective on the character.

          Lol yeah but Capcom needs to come forward and just put them both in a game. It doesn't matter what game, anything will do. I didn't mean it was canon but rather, they are never in the same game.

      Looks like that leaked list could be extremely credible. Of course the image could also be a case of people seeing what they want to see. However, if the list really is true then we might as well kill our expectations for Rolento's appearance right now instead of getting our hopes up, only to be disappointed later on.

    I found out about this last month

    Deejay and T-Hawk are coming back. I forget the other characters. Can't find my damn OPSM magazine with the article where they talked with one of the main guys working on it.
