If Geoff Keighley's recent (rather vague) tweet is anything to go by, a brand new Tomb Raider might be revealed at this year's upcoming Game Developers Conference.

Could this be the reboot that was hinted at last year?

But the article was then Tweeted by the ever-well-informed Game Trailers TV host Geoff Keighley, who chimed in: "Good interview with Crystal Dynamics. I've heard rumblings of a new Lara Croft project that's gonna be at GDC."

We've asked Square-Enix if any Tomb Raider plans are afoot for next week's Game Developers' Conference. If we hear anything or catch sight of Lara at the show we'll be sure to let you know.

I look forward to seeing the reboot. The concepts they were throwing about that it was going to be a survival horror and Lara only had a flaming torch to light up surroundings. As she was stranded her weapons were self made bows and stuff, it sounded awesome and something I could really get into.

I had ther complete opposite reaction. The reboot sounds like crap for a Tomb Raider game and I have 0 interest in it.

Likewise Gamesta, they should concentrate on making what was good about the Lara series great rather than remake her as a half assed survivalist.

They've been trying to do that for the best part of a decade and repeatadly failed. I would like to see a new take on the franchise, even if the new direction fails they can't do worse than some of the shit they released in the past.

I thought Legends was excellent, didn't get through Underworld though.

Legends wasn't superb, but it was more than decent. Anniversary was even better as it more closely emulated actual Tomb Raiding. The reboot has potential, but there's no need to slap Tomb Raider on it, just as there was no need to slap Silent Hill to SH4 or 5.

It depends on what you expect, as far as Tomb Raiding goes I'd say Legends was pretty excellent. Gameplay wise.

Silent Hill 4 was great! There actually wasn't a five... : Denial:
