Though the expected release window has come and gone, Lionhead's Peter Molyneux has said in more or less words Fable II & III could end up on the PC. The first game was very well done on the platform and featured tons of extra content. For the patient, having Fable II on the PC would still be welcome, though let's not hold out too much hope...

Recent comments from Peter Molyneux at GDC have offered gamers another slither of hope that Fable is returning to the PC.

"I can say, mystically, that I love the PC." Stated Lionhead's glorious leader at GDC, "I love what's happening to the PC, and I would love to see the Fable franchise on the PC."

Obviously this isn't any sort of confirmation that the Microsoft owned studio will be developing for anything other than the 360, but at least it shows that Lionhead are still serious about the platform. A word of warning though, this scenario is all too familiar.

Cast your minds back to 2008 when a very excitable audience was soaking up all the pre-release hype for Fable 2 and Mr Molyneux was again in fine form offering the following comment to Videogamer.com:

"If you recall we didn't release a PC version of Fable immediately. I don't think we even announced it immediately. There's no announcement either positive or negative on a PC version just yet."

It should come out for PC, because maybe it won't be as glitchy and I hope they can do the same for Fable 3.
