Great news if true. A rumored spring update will allow Xbox 360 owners to store game saves, Live Arcade games, and more to USB storage devices. Only up to 16GB worth of space per device though.

A document obtained by Joystiq suggests that an upcoming Spring Update to the Xbox 360 will allow owners to save and load game data using USB devices such as thumbsticks or portable hard drives. Previously, Microsoft allowed owners to store their own movies, music, and pictures to USB storage devices but game saves, Arcade games, purchased movies, etc were strictly limited to official Microsoft devices like the Xbox 360 hard drive or memory card.
