J-Rock Artists To Appear In Rock Band?

Harmonix recently approached Jrock Revolution, asking which Japanese rock singers/bands fans would most like to see in the next Rock Band.

After three weeks of polling and thousands of votes, the results are finally here. From GACKT to X Japan to An Cafe, here are the top 10 most-requested artists.

Now, we'll just wait and see which of these singers/bands actually make it into the game.

When Harmonix approached JrockRevolution.com and asked us which Jrock artists the fans wanted to see in Rock Band we knew the news would rock the community (pardon the pun). With the start of the polling we anticipated a lot of buzz, but we never anticipated the enormous amount of dedication and support you all have shown thus far! Thousands of votes poured in from dedicated fans and curious newcomers alike. We cannot thank you enough for being a part of this huge step towards bringing Jrock closer to you, the fans.     Art of Life by X JAPAN has to be in Rock Band 3, that would be epic and would definitely be a song I would play for the entire 29 minutes.

    The obvious choices would be X JAPAN and GACKT. I'd pick up anything from them in a heartbeat.

    Also most of the modern Dir en grey stuff would be logical choices on all fronts. With the bands focus on heavy and extreme metal it would make their stuff a joy to play on guitar, bass and drums.

    Edit: I just thought most of these Japanese artists have barely made a bad song in their careers let alone a bad album, it is going to be hard to pick a song or two without upsetting lots of people as with a back catalog as perfect as many of these artists each song is a potential fan favorite.
