Metroid Movie Rumored to Star Jessica Simpson as Samus

Go Fanboy is reporting that a rumor has popped up that actress and singer Jessica Simpson, star of the Dukes of Hazzard Movie, will be playing the well-known character of Samus Aran in an upcoming Metroid movie.

It's early on a Saturday and it looks like the crazies are already coming out. It appears that there is a rumor going around that Jessica Simpson, the former Nuclear Scientist and MIT graduate (j/k), is slated to play Samus Aran in the upcoming Metroid movie that is supposedly directed by Uwe Boll?

    Samus isn't much of a character, but it is implied that she's the strong, silent type, yes? I say this with all possible offence, Jessica Simpson could never be strong or silent and the fact that someone would consider casting her is an insult to--BububuBEEEEEWBS.

      It was never announced, but some Chinese producer owns the rights to it. Apparantly it's meant to be released sometime in 2006.
