According to a Digital Extremes' Environmental Artist CV, The Darkness 2 is in development. He claims on his CV that he has worked on the sequel. This is not the first rumor about the sequel so let see what it's about.

Emmanuel Pappas CV on SuperAnnuation reveals very interesting stuff in development at Digital Extremes. He joined the company in January 2009 as Environment Artist and seems to be working on Darkness 2!
