Because of a Bungie's quote during the Comic-Con about Master Chief, the whole web is wondering what to expect. Master Chief will be back, that is what Bungie confirmed: but how? when? where?

During Bungie’s Comic-Con panel, Halo’s creator declared one of the most anticipated announcement, here are the words:

“You haven’t seen the last of Master Chief.”

I know some people whose jaws will drop! But what does it mean? Does it mean Master Chief is on his way to appear in Halo: Reach? Is that a next Halo in development? Is that a Halo’s game focused on Master Chief? or a movie teaser?

Well, they do have his voice in Halo: Reach, but I doubt that's what they were referring to. I'm sure at some point someone will continue off the cliffhanger at the end of Halo 3. The newly formed 343 Studios has been hiring a lot of people lately, so my money is on them. I can't really imagine them doing anything else, unless it's something pre-Halo.

If they release a sequel to Halo 3, it just might get me back into the series. I've grown weary of it since then. I loved Halo 3, but couldn't really get into ODST, Wars, or even get excited over Reach.

But it'd be nice if they brought the series back to its glory days.

Didn't Bungie say they were done with Halo after Reach? At least for a little while.

Yeah, they're actually going to start on a new IP being published by Activision once they're done with Reach. Halo is owned by Microsoft though, so they can do whatever they want with it despite Bungie's absence. 343 Studios is supposedly handling everything Halo-related now.

Master Chief/John (I think thats his name in the books I read) could be in Halo: Reach. Didn't all the spartans fight on reach? So he could make a short appearance.

I mean MC isn't all that badass. Every spartan was like him pretty much, except he has a "badass" type of voice

Probably according to the timeline we may hear his voice only. He went aboard a covenant ship to retrieve/destroy something, and it eventually led to the slipspace jump to the first Halo. While he's there, the Spartans on Reach are fighting for their lives.
