Final Fantasy XIII-2 Is In The Works?

It seems that internet supersleuth superannuation has caught wind of news yet again: Square Enix may indeed be working on Final Fantasy XIII-2. Of course, given their recent misfortune, one has to wonder if this is a last ditch effort to salvage their situation or portents of worse things to come.

    You know I'm actually not that surprised? Tits to you SE! You are dead to me unless Versus practically makes my PS3 spontaniously combust.(Or on the slight handed chance of a multiplatform release; Make an Xbox360 Slim RRD.)

      Chances are, with the way SE has been screwing us around with Versus, they'll announce XIII-2 will be released before it ; ;

    FFXIII wasn't that bad, in my opinion. I had fun playing it.

    Granted, I still don't think a direct sequel to it should be made. I thought they wrapped the story up nicely.

      Thank you! I thought FFXIII was a great game; just a victim of internet "OMG EVERYTHING SUCKS" bullshit.

      I thought the story was wrapped up well enough, though I wouldn't be too put off by a sequel. XIII in general was designed to have a series of sequels/spin-offs, and I feel it certainly has ample storytelling potential.

      A little project consolidation on Square Enix's part prior to this couldn't hurt, however. Maybe squeeze out Versus XIII and a full-on Kingdom Hearts 3 (wishful thinking, I know) before worrying too much about a XIII-2.

      All of their plans? I don't think they have plans. I think they quickly brainstorm and just use that as their plans. xD

    Im not buyin another SE game until they release Versus, KH3 or god forbid they want to make a huge amount of money, FFVII remake.

    How about they finish what they started before going off on tangents? Versus first, XIII-2 later.
