It appears Sony is going to take the war against hackers one step further, Sony may now be producing a hack proof model that appears to be a little different that it`s original counterpart.

The hack-proof model is said to be a slim PS3 boasting a 300GB hard drive. The report claims it will cost £186.99.

Sony is also said to be planning to cut the price of existing PS3 hardware to £170 in order to help clear out the inventory and make way for the new SKU.

The launch timing of the new model has reportedly not been decided yet, as Sony awaits the conclusion of its legal battle with PS3 hacker George Hotz.

They should have a trade in scheme where you can phone or email Sony to trade in your "hackable" model for a none hack model. This mainly goes out to Slim owners considering many may have only just bought one and then this shit happened..

I don't know . . . calling something "hack-proof" is like calling something "unbreakable" . . . has anyone found something actually NOT breakable? The term "unbreakable" is just temptation-inducing to get someone to say "Heh, bet I could break it!"

Having something labeled "hack-proof" will probably cause the "hackers" to drool at the idea of trying.
