Gameplay Today is citing multiple sources regarding news that SouthPeak Interactive may be shutting down in the wake of recent departures from "high-ranking" employees.

It appears that another recognizable name in video game publishing is bordering on shutting down. This speculation of a shutdown comes as news of the publisher delaying future releases has started trickling down through distributors and retailers. Sources at multiple retail giants are reporting that the company’s upcoming PC title Stronghold 3 is being delayed indefinitely.

    I would hate for this to happen. Southpeak does a great deal about bringing many sleeper hits to the market and I've enjoyed a lot of their titles. This together with JoWood would truly be a disastrous year for games.
