It was recently announced that Dragon Quest X will be an online RPG for the Nintendo Wii and newly announced Wii U. However supposedly the game will also feature a little something for the 3DS in relation to StreetPass.

Dragon Quest X may also have a Nintendo 3DS feature. Players can transfer their character data to their 3DS and meet other players via Streetpass. When you transfer data back to Wii or Wii U you’ll see the characters you met in Dragon Quest X. This feature is under development.
