I'm usually the guy who can't wait to get his hands on the next Xbox, but I'm kind of hoping they'll hold off until 2014-15, just so it'll perform that much better.

i was glad when the 360 came out, the Xbox was feeling outdated and the UI was plain ugly, but im actually fine with the 360 and dont care to see the next one until at least 2013, maybe later. i have so many games i need to play, and theres no guarantee the next Xbox will be backwards compatible.

The only reason backwards compatibility was limited was Microsoft and their original graphics partner Nvidia had a falling out, Nvidia didn't want to make the graphics chip for the Xbox 360 so Microsoft went with ATi.. Now from a current gen standpoint that's not a negative but when it comes to games built to run on Nvidia hardware it's hard to get them to run on ATi hardware. Provided Microsoft don't fall out with ATi and keep manufacturers uniform then backwards compatibility will be easy.
