Do you have an insatiable appetite for all things Dead Space? If your answer was "yes!", EA may have soom good news for you. According to one EA insider, an FPS set in the Dead Space universe is on the way. Is this beginning of another milked franchise, or will a Dead Space FPS be a gem in a sea of brown corridors? Only time will tell.

The news shouldn't be surprising given that the company has already churned out a sequel to the original survival horror 3rd-person shooter, a prequel rail-shooter spin-off for the Wii (and PS3), a puzzle game, an awesome iOS and Android 3rd-person shooter, comics and a novel. However an EA insider claims that the company is basically just getting started with the franchise, and is looking at new ways to expand the Dead Space universe.

As one of the few people that finds the DS's annoying as hell, I think this is a good idea.

For me at least I would find an FPS more suitable for a game where dismemberment is a key component.

I am not sure how I feel about this being a FPS.. It might lose some of it's scary flair.

i dont understand the point of making a FPS when its already just fine as 3rd. thats not much of a change. usually if they make a new genre of a game in a franchise its totally different like Halo to Halo Wars.

I suppose so because I thought that Dead Space was pretty trippy, and really kept you on your toes. All a matter of opinion of course.

It didn't do any of that for me because it pissed me off to much. It's probably the least scariest scary game I have ever played.

Seems like an odd change. I suppose it could be a sequel to Extraction, though. At least I think that's what it was called.
