Guitar Hero IV to Focus on Aerosmith?

While doing some research on Guitar Hero III, I heard about some rumors regarding Guitar Hero IV. Seems that there was some interesting info stating that the next Guitar Hero may focus on one band: Aerosmith. Gamespot started running with the rumor this afternoon.

We have yet to get Guitar Hero III into our hands and there are already rumors running around about Guitar Hero IV. Seems that Gamespot got ahold of a juicy rumor that says that the next Guitar Hero game will focus solely on Aerosmith and their entire back catalog. Seems a bit strange considering that the success of the game is its diversity of music from the strange to standard rock.

    It just says GH4 will be dedicated to the band. This doesn't mean that the game's going to be based on the band. I think GameSpot is either:
    1) Can't read properly
    2) Need to start making up rumors just to obtain page views
    3) Doesn't know the proper definition of dedication

    Dedicating something means you're doing it in honor of, in the memory of, etc to the person(s) or thing which is being dedicated to. Same thing happens in books all the time the author will dedicate it to their family, wife/husband, god, etc.

    Sigh. GameSpot, this is almost as bad news today as Kotaku reporting on porn

    I even had to rant on GameSpot itself about this.

    Joystiq has also reported on this. However, unlike the editor over at GameSpot he knows the definition of dedicated.

    Well, while their at this, let's all start rumors about Gears of War 3. Seriously don't start rumors about a game if it's prequel hasn't even been released yet.
