With Bioshock announced to the world, for October this year, Sony have today announced a surprise that a mystery developer is currently working along side 2K on the game.

As well as being a port of the XBOX360/PC version, Bioshock for the PS3 will also feature as-yet-unannounced features exclusively for the PS3 port.

As well as this news, also included in the article are new screenshots for the PS3 version of the game which can be found attached below.

Heading the project is 2K Marin, along with 2K Boston and 2K Australia. Alyssa Finley, executive producer at 2K Marin said: "Because this is the first PS3 title from 2K Marin, 2K Australia and 2K Boston, we've also got another development partner with some outstanding PS3-specific coding chops helping out with the project."

I guess they have to do something to encourage people to buy the game. This is a decent way to get people that have PS3's (but not 360's) but may have already played it on their friend's 360 or something.

Well, they say the unnamed developer working alongside 2K games has some experience with coding for the PS3, which is good to hear. They should be able to make a good port, and add the extra content in a good way.

Meh Im going to wait in the shadows to see what the stuff is, I already played the first one, wasn't exactly thrilled after beating it. It needed other stuff, since its a game, imo, thats good for 2 maybe 3 playthroughs and thats it.

Didn't you say that you only played it at your friends house and weren't impressed by it? And that you never actually played the game itself?
