Courtesy of Bethesda, here are three new screens from the forthcoming action-RPG Fallout 3, which we'll have late this year. Looking pretty solid and gritty, just the way ya like it.

Developer Bethesda has unleashed a few new screenshots from its upcoming post-apocalyptic role-playing title, showcasing guns, books, and dogs.

    Doesn't look too bad

I wonder if that dog, or whatever it is, is helpful at all? Or whether you can just shoot them or something >_>

I wonder how big the world is in Fallout 3 because for a game running on a modified version of the Oblivion engine, it doesn't look so great. Though saying that Oblivion may not look so great now i haven't played it for ages, hope the gameplay is good in this one.

I think it is supposed to be several miles square, like Oblivion (possibly bigger)...

      Not really sure....

Oblivion was 16 square miles, I think.

But most likely fallout will be more compact with more places to explore.

Sign me up for Fallout 3. I'm sold on the deal. I'm jumping on board. I'm using cliches.
