In a genre that has long since been considered dead, Telltale Games remains as one of the few who continue on that genre. They are responsible for bringing us Sam & Max Seasons One & Two for the PC, and will bring us Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People for WiiWare.

The Wii version of Sam & Max Season One is a port of the PC point and click adventure, which will feature the gameplay tweaks that were made in Season Two. In a series know for its sarcastic humor, witty banter, and an overall good time, this is certainly a game to have.

Sam & Max Season One is being published by Dreamcatcher. It is set to release in the US in the Fall of 2008. The official website can be found here.

Fact Sheet:
Who? : Sam is a six-foot dog in a baggy suit, sporting a trombone-sized .44 hand-cannon. Max is a three foot “rabbity thing” with a saw blade grin and the impulsive nature of the average piranha. Together, they patrol the sticky streets of a fantastical New York City, righting wrongs, pummeling perps, and ridding the urban landscape of the shifty legions of “self-propelled gutter trash” that litter their neighborhood.

What? : Thanks to the award-winning comedy of Sam & Max Season One, the Wii is about to get a whole lot funnier.

When? : Fall 2008

Where? : Across North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom

Why? : With similarities to a TV sitcom, Sam & Max Season One for Wii is well suited for group gameplay and the “living room experience.” The humor, gameplay, and intuitive “point and click” interface appeal to a mainstream audience. The franchise has a strong fanbase, whose emails and enthusiasm helped drive the Sam & Max series to the Wii.

Background : Sam & Max have a 20-year history that spans comic books, an animated Saturday morning cartoon, an Eisner-winning web comic, and an innovative episodic game series. Sam & Max Season One on Wii marks the duo’s console debut.
