Early last month, Wind of Nostalgio was announced via Weekly Famitsu magazine, featuring three Japanese video game companies collaborating on the title. The companies involved are Matrix Software, the developer responsible for the Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV DS remakes along with currently developing Avalon Code, also for the DS, Red Entertainment, largely known for the Sakura Taisen series, and Tecmo, known for many different series. The game is a RPG for the Nintendo DS.

Wind of Nostalgio stars Eddy, a 19th century Londoner who is the son of a legendary English adventurer. He along with fellow Londoners leave on an adventure that will take them from London and out to explore the world. To explore the world, Eddy pilots a dirigible, with flight being one of the central themes for the game.

As such, Wind of Nostalgio will feature airship battles, and the ability to customize said airship, alongside more traditional dungeon exploration, in what can be considered as a Skies of Arcadia Lite. Weapons and equipment for Eddy's airship can be bought from shops to outfit the ship and enable it to fight rogue ships. Weather will also play a factor in the airship battles. There will still be more traditional dungeon crawling elements, where Eddy and crew will explore and battle enemies on foot.

Wind of Nostalgio is set to release in the Fall of 2008 in Japan. There has been no announcement of a release outside Japan. More screenshots can be found at the source. The official site can be found here.
