Ubisoft have today released 8 new screenshots to give gamers a sneak peak into the up and coming holiday season title Shaun White Snowboarding which is set for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PC.

These new screenshots offer gamers a true look into the mountain ranges Ubisoft have created as well as the minor characters and range obstacles.

With Electronic Arts and 2K Sports taking a break with their snowboarding franchises, SSX and Amped, respectively, Ubisoft really hit the spot by deciding to release its first-ever snowboarding game, Shaun White Snowboarding, this holiday season. To give you an idea of what the game will offer when it hits retail, the French publisher has unleashed a bunch of new screenshots.

As the title implies, the game is being developed in close collaboration with the snowboarding legend, Shaun White, ala Activision’s Tony Hawk skateboarding titles. Built on the Assassin’s Creed engine, the game features a massive free-roaming world where only the player’s imagination sets the limit on what to do next. Ubisoft also claims that this is “the first time a snowboarding game is completely driven by physics instead of animation.” Interesting.
