Namco Bandai's Xbox 360 title, The iDOLM@STER, and its sequel, The iDOLM@STER: Live For You! proved to be one of the more popular and best-selling games for Microsoft's unpopular console in Japan, based on the popular Arcade game of the same name. The player is the producer of one of nine prospective pop idols, and it is the player's job to improve their success, by building the girls' talents, and priming them up to star on the big stage, in this simulation/music rhythm game.
NBGI recently announced The Idolm@ster SP, a PSP port of the 360 version, which will feature extra content, at the cost of the original game being split across three separate games, with three idols per game.
All three versions of The Idolm@ster SP is set to release in Japan this winter. A lot more screenshots can be found at the source.
