From the Games Convention in Leipzig is a brand new batch of screenshots for the upcoming oddball release from Konami: Castlevania Judgment, the series' first fighting game, for the Wii. This set of screenshots introduce a new character that previously didn't exist in the Castlevania franchise: Aeon. The rest of the screenshots can be seen at the source.

In a large departure from the series, the current producer of the series, Koji Igarashi announced that the upcoming Wii installment in the storied franchise would be a 3D fighting game, that involve the heroes and villains of past iterations in the castle-exploring, vampire-hunting series. Comparisons have been made to Capcom's Power Stone, but overall current impressions have been lukewarm.

IGN also has a trailer for the game:

They have also confirmed that the US release date will be pushed back to early 2009.

      Nope.

I will buy it if it turns out good! If anything, the delay should give them more time to add the polish that the E3 demo lacked.

Don't expect too much, castlevania and 3D don't mix very well.

I don't think a fighting game will be any better. Graphics look like the Ps2 castlevanias!

Obviously I'm going to buy it. I hope this isn't that last one though.
