Famitsu have some new screenshots to accompany their article in their latest issue. Gyakuten Kenji is the newest game in the Gyakuten Saiban/Ace Attorney series, this time putting you in control of prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, investigating cases that will be brought to court. At your side is the lovable sidekick, Detective Dick Gumshoe.

One of the new characters is fellow and rival prosecutor Makoto Yuuki, who is a big fan of sports. There are three phases to Gyakuten Kenji's gameplay: Investigation, Logic and Confrontation. Edgeworth will be interacting with persons involved in the case, as he moves on in his investigation for evidence. There will be no court trial phases in this game.

Gyakuten Kenji is expected to release in Spring 2009. The game will be playable at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2008. You can check out the rest of the screenshots over at the source.
